Description:

This online workshop introduces more than 20 signs that are based on American Sign Language (ASL). It is designed for expectant parents and parents with babies ranging in age from birth to 18 months. You will learn about the latest research and all the tools to teach your baby to sign. Fun activities and songs will show you how easy it can be to integrate simple signs into your everyday routine to jump-start your child’s verbal skills.

CAUTION: Once you initiate the registration process and click “continue” you will need to complete the process without delay. If you interrupt the process even to change a diaper you will be registered but your payment will not be finalized and you will need to start over registering with a different email address.

WHAT IF I MISS A CLASS? Quite often not everyone can make it to every playgroup due to illness or vacations. Therefore the lesson plans have a lot of review. We spend 20 to 30 minutes each day reviewing everything from the previous playgroup so anyone that missed the previous week will be up to speed. The review is good for everyone. There are no make up classes.

CLASS RECORDINGS: You will receive a link to view recordings of each session and a bonus video of the songs that we will be singing and signing together.

CLASS MATERIALS: You will receive a coupon code in your class confirmation so you can download your class handbook for free at HappyBabySigns.com. The handbook contains song lyrics, research and benefits of signing with babies, tips and techniques on how to incorporate baby sign language into your day-to-day routines, valuable links to online resources, and an ASL alphabet chart. Familiarize yourself with the ASL alphabet because many of the signs incorporate a letter of the alphabet. Homework tip: Learn how to fingerspell your name. Plus the Playgroup Series parents will receive recommendations on our favorite Baby Sign Language smart phone apps!
