Description:

While actively moving and developing coordination skills and playing around with rhythms, students will study flamenco dance technique and flamenco rhythm. Students will learn dance steps as well as how to support each other as dancers using palmas (flamenco hand clapping) and jaleos (calls of encouragement) and cante (flamenco singing).

For who?

Age guidelines are suggestions, but you may choose the class that you think is most appropriate for your child

Flamenco for (Young) Kids:

Appropriate for children ages 4 and above. If you are concerned about your child’s age or your child is younger, please contact us.

Flamenco for (Older) Kids:

Appropriate for children ages 8 and above. If you have any questions regarding age, please contact us.

Is any special attire or flamenco gear required?

No. Students may dress in something comfortable that they can move around easily in. If your child has flamenco gear and wants to wear it, that’s great too!

Link to the zoom meeting for the class will be sent prior to start of class. 

Requirements / Pre-Requisite:

No experience is necessary, but if your child has done some flamenco, that’s great too!
